The Glow Brick uses a photoluminescent* pigment trapped in a real light bulb just like the ones we have at home. The bulb is then encased in a solid block of acrylic resin.

It creates a mysterious optical effect by the light diffracting in the tiny space between the glass of the light bulb and the resin. The polished surface gives a jewel like quality to the Glow Brick.

In darkened room or at night the Glow Brick comes to life with a tranquil and subtle green glow emanating from the pigment inside the light bulb.
